Into the
Den for Barnes' men
Friday 2nd
October, 2009
By Richard Ault
Bouyed by the win at Wycombe on Tuesday, John Barnes takes his
side to Millwall on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten
run to a third match.

Tranmere's defence was far from solid at Adams Park on Tuesday,
although there was a determination shown by the entire team that
suggests a little bit of belief and confidence is returning.
There is a big carrot dangling in front of Rovers ahead of this
game too - victory will move them out of the bottom four.
Millwall
and beyond
Perhaps
tellingly, Rovers will board the coach home from Millwall safe
in the knowledge that their next two league games are at home.
Stockport and Brighton will visit Prenton Park in league action
next, meaning that any kind of positive result at The New Den
could put Tranmere in a great position to pull away from the
danger zone.
Some names
of note in the Millwall squad
The
stand-out name is Jason Price. And that's not just because
of his eye-catching hair-styles. The former Rovers striker
has become somewhat nomadic since leaving Prenton Park with
Millwall being his third club in six years.
Having
lost in the play-off final last season, it's no surprise to see
some good players for this level still amongst their ranks.
The ever-green Neil Harris is as prolific as ever upfront,
whilst the likes of Adam Bolder, on-loan pair James Henry and
Darren Ward, and Runcorn-born Zak Whitbread all capable of
turning a game.
Team news
Tranmere have added former MIllwall left-back Zoumana Bakayogo
to their squad for this one after the Ivorian impressed John
Barnes on trial. Terry Gornell and Bas Savage are still
out.
