Tranmere have bolstered their squad after
landing full-back Zoumana Bakayogo on a free transfer. The
former Millwall man, who spent time on trial at Southend this
summer, has signed an initial deal until January.
Bakayogo,
who has represented the Ivory Coast at under-23 level, has
featured on the last two reserves games for Rovers whilst on
trial, setting up a goal for Kithson Bain against Leicester City
on Wednesday. He made 27 appearances during two season at
Millwall, the club against whom he is likely to make his debut
tomorrow.
Bakayogo
impressed Southend boss Steve Tilson on trial this summer but,
after a decision on his future was delayed, he returned to
France where he was expected to join a club. He didnn't,
and the pacey left-back is now set to join John Barnes'
struggling side.
Bakayogo
started his career at French giants Paris Saint-Germain but
didn't make a first team appearance.
