Striker
search goes on after Premiership rebuff

Les
Parry's attempts to bring in another striker to strengthen his
squad will go on still further after Premiership giants
Manchester United refused to allow a player to be released to
Rovers on loan.
Parry said last week that he had made approaches to two
Premiership clubs and one League One club about bringing in
strikers on loan. Today (Tuesday), Les revealed the failed
raid on Old Trafford. Although no names were mentioned,
one possibility that sticks out is Fabian Brandy, who has
recently been on loan at Gillingham.
Parry told
the Wirral Globe: "We tried to take a young Manchester
United player last week, but we've since heard that they won't
let him come out, so we need to be looking at other areas now.
"We're looking at three possible new signings and waiting for
answers from their clubs. We've also got Bas Savage coming back,
which will be like a new player coming in, too.
"If we get one of the three players on a month's loan, initally,
that gives us another four weeks to get Bas right, then we'll
re-address the situation and see who’s available again."
thecowsheds.co.uk believes that the identity of the other
Premiership player they approached was Liverpool's Nathan Ecclestone, although nothing seems to have come from that
either.
It seems
likely that Rovers will again go with what they have against
Yeovil Town tonight, kick-off is 7.45pm.
